- Dance – I have been a dance teacher in intermediate, secondary schools and dance studios.
- Drama – have been a drama teacher in secondary and intermediate schools.
- Craft – I've made lots of props for school productions and enjoy crafting with my own children. I enjoy sewing and it is part of my small business.
- Film – I have taught media studies on occasion. I used to make short films and TV for university.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes
I have been a qualified secondary teacher for 20 years. I have taught here and in the UK. This has mostly been with secondary students but I have also worked at intermediate and university level too. I have also occasionally worked with people with special needs, more in an academic sense but am happy to explore in a creative capacity too. I am flexible with themes and content.
Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice
I love developing peoples’ love of the arts and finding their creative talent within themselves. The arts have so many skills that spill over into other parts of our lives be it problem solving, communication, social skills, storytelling; knowing they can create something for themselves or others; self-expression, or managing stress. I too love learning and connecting with people.
