If you haven’t already submitted an expression of interest (EOI), you can submit one here . It isn’t mandatory to submit an expression of interest; you can still partner with schools and kura and submit the joint application without an EOI.
For schools and kura
You may choose to engage directly with a creative you already have a relationship with in your local community, or find one from this list. Please note that professional artists and creative practitioners who are listed on this page are not police vetted. As the school or kura leading the project, you must organise the police vetting check of the requested creative(s) and provide the vetting report before the project commences. If a creative does not 'pass' the vetting, you must inform the Ministry of Education by email ( CreativesinSchools@education.govt.nz ) so we can remove that creative's profile from the Arts Online website (where relevant).

I live on the North Shore of Auckland and am often downtown for school or work commitments. I am totally open to pretty much going anywhere in the greater Auckland area if it works with schedules, traffic, pay etc.

When I'm available:
As things stand at the moment, I work flexible part time hours as Assistant Manager for NZTrio (approx. 15 hours/week) which vary week to week/month to month depending on concert activity. I have one more year part time at Elam beginning in March for which Wednesdays are mainly booked. Sept/Oct 2020 will likely be a busy time preparing for my final evaluation. Most of my art-making takes place in my home studio, but if there's a space in a school for this, I would consider a 'residency' scenario. Ultimately I'm fairly flexible and may need to keep some flexibility depending on how integrated the work is with my current studies. I have a car, and am confident we can make something work.

I am looking to personally work with three schools this year as a continuation of the piloting and testing of our programme, while simultaneously teaching a train the trainer programme so the creative youth programme can be brought to more schools. I am based in Thames, on the Coromandel Peninsula which makes me equal distance from Tauranga, Hamilton and Auckland being all approximately 1.5 hours drive away. For this reason I am open to approach from any schools within that radius, but would certainly consider travelling even further afield if the right opportunity arose. For the purpose of this question, immediate locations I can be available in are: the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki Plains; Waikato and Bay of Plenty Districts; Auckland Central; West and South Auckland localities.

At this stage I am very flexible around availability to take part in the Creatives in Schools programme as I have not yet committed to any major projects for the 2020 year. That can, of course, change. However, if I were to receive a proposal to participate with a partner school in this programme in the first term, I would make that my priority and work with any school to ensure my availability provided a satisfying learning experience with significant personal contact time in class to create a rewarding teaching interaction for the students, their teachers, and myself.
