My track record of experience and success - or the track record of experience and success of the creative or artist that I will partner with

I have painted hundreds of murals, have been working as a commercial mural artist for over a decade, have taught in schools, tertiary education facilities, and with artists. I have delivered a holiday school programme with six student artists for a College.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

As a mentor and artist I have passed on skills to hundreds of young artists in the form of workshops and classes help in classrooms and on-location painting street art and murals. I have run art workshops with down syndrome teenagers. I have painted murals and run classes for at-risk youth. I have taken young graffiti artists under my wing and taught them how to paint. Some of my apprentices are now working full time as commercial street artists. I have worked with all age groups, from painting murals with five-year-olds to painting graffiti with 80-year-olds. My work focuses on things I like, people, places, space, and what it means to create a culture in modern times that will be a legacy to future generations.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

To pass on vital artistic skills to others and enhance our public spaces. To teach young artists how to get work and make a career out of being a freelance commercial artist.
