I am a practicing professional sculptor/artist. I exhibit and sell my work. Notably I have been part of Shapeshifter sculpture exhibition in Lower Hutt and at Expressions in Upper Hutt. I have work in The Wallace Art Trust.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

I have developed and taught a range of classes in art and graphic design to all ages.

  • At WelTec – teaching graphic design principles to IT students.
  • Onslow college, after school art classes.
  • Weekend classes for adults.

As part of this teaching I:

  • wrote and developed the course
  • sourced and organised resources.

I love encouraging students to extend their personal learning and creativity. Having fun.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

I would love to be part of a project like this. I have been doing art all my life. I want to spend my days being involved with art. Creatives in School is another opportunity to do this. I have skills in many areas such as drawing, painting, design and sculpting. I love ideas and bringing them to life, whether it's on canvas or stone, mixed media. The possibilities are endless.
