The Kahurangi NZ Maori Dance Theatre

The Kahurangi NZ Maori Dance Theatre founded in 1983 by the late Tama Huata to present Maori performing arts in a dynamic and contemporary manner.  Our touring teams travel annually to NZ schools performing and delivering workshops to thousands of students per year.  Kahurangi have also had an annual presence in North America for over two decades introducing the world to the culture and stories of the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa and the Pacific Islands

World Dance

This Auckland based group offer folkloric dance for adults and children as well as a Dance-in-schools team. New Wave Folkdancing resources are available for school early childhood and adult learners. Teacher training for work with adults and children is also offered.
