Creativity in Design
Full Day workshop - Two day workshop available. Students will be taught how to gain pattern work and original design from their own themed starting point. From observational drawing and mark making into pattern collage, and small fabric samples using hand print techniques, such as dyes, batik, fabric crayons, fabric pens, 3d paints, fabric paints etc. If a two day course the students could then start to use embroidery, applique, pleating effects. This is a really good opportunity for students to attack initial concepts and design development links for NCEA without the time constraints of a lesson.
