Rob Garrett, Managing Curator of SCAPE 8, will present a public talk to introduce the curatorial themes for the Christchurch Biennial in the context of the City's present situation.
In 2015, Christchurch finds itself in the ambivalent position of wrestling with the legacy of the earthquakes, as well as witnessing energetic rebuild activity.
Hear about the artists who have been commissioned to develop major new projects for SCAPE 8 and the Curator's rationale for their selection based on this context.

The SCAPE 8 Public Art Christchurch Biennial is an international contemporary art event which will mix new artworks with existing legacy pieces, an Education Programme, and a Public Programme of events. The SCAPE 8 artworks will be located around central Christchurch and linked via a public art walkway.
