Project information: Tipua, New Growth is an exciting programme that has developed through a collaborative pilot programme between Wilson School and the creative art studio in Term 2, 2021. During the pilot programme, a select number of students were able to go on site to the art studio with Wilson support staff and have artistic experiences, creating and having sensory connection with ceramics and panel carving (through creating wax paper rubbings). This programme was very successful, with students enjoying going on site to the art studio and making their own artworks.
For the Tipua programme in 2022, all of Wilson School's students, including students based in satellite classes, will have the opportunity to create and exhibit their own art, with creatives going to classes followed by students coming on site to the art studio over 2-week learning blocks. At the conclusion of the Tipua Programme, the students' work will be featured with an exhibition presentation and celebration at the creative art studio, where the whole community will have the opportunity to see and share the students' artworks.
Project starting: May 2022
