Art form: Ngā Toi Māori
Project name: Pepeha
Creative name: Alexis Neal
Project information: We are working closely with our mana whenua Te Kawerau a Maki. We are developing our school-wide understanding of the concept of pepeha, what it means, and why it is important. We are learning the landmarks and stories of our rohe and applying these to develop our school pepeha, and to explore pepeha through the lens of our own and each other’s cultures. We seek to create visual pepeha that represent our rohe and seek creative support to do this.
Project starting: May 2022
