I am able to provide quality experiences for every learner. I have extensive experience with young people years 1-8 including special needs. I relate well to intermediate-aged students and have worked through the all aspects design process.
I enjoy creating challenging and relevant design briefs to foster problem-solving skills.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes
I have been a specialist technology teacher for the majority of my teaching career. I have planned and resourced numerous projects inspired by Kura and the New Zealand Curriculum. I have a current Teaching Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice
I truly appreciate how the Arts play a valuable role in youth development. The Creatives in Schools programme would help me share my experience to support Kura in providing engaging learning programmes with the tactile and real-world aspect in design.
I am a problem solver in my practice. I wish to inspire and empower our rangatahi in believing they can tackle big and small problems with creativity whilst building resilience.
