St Anne's Catholic School
Art form: Music
Project name: Digibytes
Project information: As part of this project, Ākonga will be placed into teams and guided through interactive workshops on song-writing, music recording, editing and distributing, to enable them to create their own original music pieces.
The project has the following three goals:
1. Creative freedom and expression
2. Collaboration and contribution
3. Technical musical knowledge and skills.
We strive to lessen the gap for students from low socio-economic backgrounds with more opportunities for real-life experiences. We want to ensure that all of our Ākonga, including Pasifika and Māori learners, have their identities and cultures valued, and to equip them with equitable opportunities to pursue any education pathway.
Project starting: February 2021
