Project information: The idea for the project is based on the Gillian Wearing artwork, Confess all on video. Don't worry, you will be in disguise. Intrigued? Call Gillian, 1994. Year 10 Photography students will to complete work which will result in an exhibition. Students will film and photograph themselves in a booth wearing the disguises they have created. A framework of questions to support them while they film and photograph in the booth will be facilitated. We will focus on building relationships with students as they create their artifacts so that they will feel confident to tell authentic stories about the worlds they inhabit. The students will engage in all the strands of the Visual Arts Curriculum. Understanding the visual arts in context through researching Gillian Wearing and working with our creative. Developing practical knowledge in the visual arts - through developing Photography and Sculpture skills. Developing Ideas in the Visual Arts - They will express these ideas through using a range of materials and approaches. Communicating and interpreting in the visual arts. Students connect with local and global worlds through responding to and making visual-images and objects.
