My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)

Kia ora koutou, I am an established artist with experience in working with at risk youth through art. I am also a mother of a ten-year-old, so I have relevant experience of the types of art activities that primary aged children are interested in. I am interested in working with schools to help their students realise their ideas through art.

My track record of experience and success - or the track record of experience and success of the creative or artist that I will partner with

I have a MPhil Art and Design from a New Zealand University and I am a PhD student at another New Zealand School of Fine Art.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

I am very experienced in leading workshops for youth and young people with a particular focus on printing techniques and story-telling.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

I would love to help children access creative tools to express their ideas.
