My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)

Freelance artist, designer and photographer. As an artist, I can offer many creative opportunities for your students with a focus on creating meaningful and mindful art experiences to build confidence, and promote positive self-expression and wellbeing.

My track record of experience and success - or the track record of experience and success of the creative or artist that I will partner with

I have exhibited my work through various platforms - my last solo exhibition was a fine art photography series - an exploration of nature and the journey within. I have had my work featured in different newspapers and magazines and sold many high-end pieces of both art and sculpture. I also trained as a sign writer and enjoy any creative endeavours. I also have work featuring in an upcoming magazine as a finalist for a Photographer of the Year award.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

I have many years experience as an artist and also working with children of all ages. My prior experience working with children includes providing emergency care for at risk children, teacher aide, implementing learning programmes for Gifted and Talented students and running art and digital technology sessions for children in a school setting. For many years I also held various positions at Playcentre and completed Playcentre training and have also run art sessions with the elderly.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

The Creatives in Schools programme combines my passion of art and working with children and as a freelance artist I enjoy the challenge of working within different creative opportunities, with people of all ages. Feel free to email to discuss what creative opportunities you would like in your school.
