My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)

I have been weaving with harakeke (flax) for the past 12 years, attended Te Wananga O Aotearoa in Hamilton, received my diploma there, been a student of Veranoa Hetet. Weaving has become a big part of my life. I love to weave with flax and love to teach weaving. I love making kete and Waikawa(storage baskets). Tikanga and te reo are an integral part of learning to weave and will be introduced from the get go.

Weaving is my passion and I love to share this toi, by doing so, like our language, it keeps it alive.
