Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

Having worked in various projects, have given me opportunities to work with people from varied background and age group. I have the experience of working with freshers, trainees and Juniors and guiding them through the whole process. I have experience of working (taking sessions/workshop) with Year 12 Media Studies students on film making and direction. Also, being a mum, I have got the opportunity to volunteer in my daughter's school activities and class sessions, which in turn has allowed me to learn and experience on how to interact with primary school kids.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

I want to be part of the Creatives in School programme because I believe, everyone of us have a creative instinct, but due to lack of proper medium or ways, we can't nurture it. Hence I think it's important for our children to get that opportunity to enhance and nurture their creative skills. Plus it opens up for later a new avenue as a career option for the kids. Being involved in this programme will help me to enhance my teaching skills (as we keep having trainees on projects). Secondly, being a freelancer, it will help me to use my free time to do something which is related with my profession.
