I have facilitated many visual art school projects in a variety of schools around New Zealand. I teach after-school classes in my community, both children and adult ages. Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice
My wanting to participate in the Creative in Schools programme is a passion that I have for working together with students and community to beautify a local or school environment. My involvement in the Creative in Schools programme will give schools the opportunity to have sufficient funding to cater for not only enhancing their environment but it will also allow the opportunity to welcome in the local community to participate and also experience a new art media. To learn a process and enrich students with new knowledge and skills that help them to understand the time and preparation that goes in to creating an art project.
