My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)
Trained as a 'Television Post-Production Audio Mixer', I worked in Hollywood for 27 years and achieved over 1100 Hollywood screen credits, 2 Emmy nominations and bring a unique 'real world' perspective to this art form. I envision hosting classes that offer insights to the world of television, film and music from a creative and technical viewpoint. Where students can learn and understand more about the industry to help define competencies and expectations when considering entertainment industry career options. Recognised by the New Zealand Government for my achievements, I was honoured to receive an invite to join the 'World Class New Zealand' network. Additionally, I am a writer and authored five published novels. There is a need to encourage and develop individual creative writing skills, and additionally, offer insights into understanding the writing/publishing industry from a local and international perspective. A 'Creative Writing' class offers students the opportunity to hone and develop their talents, learn about the publishing world and make informed decisions about their work and writing future.

An entertainment industry professional with a 27-year career working in Hollywood as a technical operator, producer, director and studio facility owner. Honoured for my contribution and ongoing commitment to the NZ film, television and music industries, I was invited to join the prestigious 'World Class New Zealand' network. Funded by NZTE, I performed a successful speaking tour of major NZ cities. The tour was designed to motivate entertainment industry professionals to improve the technical quality of NZ-produced content to meet the expectations of international clients and socialise best practice. Recognised for my achievements, I was nominated on consecutive years for multiple Emmy awards. Possess a unique professional perspective with expertise from both an informed, local and international perspective. Have an in-depth practical understanding of content creation of Film, Television and Music and understand the expectations and demands of international requirements. Am sought after by local producers to evaluate content, reduce production and post-production costs and improve quality. Media articles about me have been published by major NZ Newspapers in addition to the international publications. I have appeared on the TVNZ’s Breakfast Show and frequently interviewed by NZ radio stations as a media expert. I have lectured, Film and Television courses at Weltec, and spoken at numerous schools in the US and New Zealand as a specialist guest speaker.
