My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)
A programme for children on how to be radio hosts. Usually I do school holidays programmes, simply because it requires quite a lot of time and we broadcast from a real radio station. And we have to comply with radio station standards. For a school I can stretch the existing two-day programme into several weeks.
My track record of experience and success - or the track record of experience and success of the creative or artist that I will partner with
I own a social media management company and have a weekly radio show on The Most FM in Taranaki.
Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes
My existing school holiday programme is created for children 8–13 years old. I have been doing it for almost three years.
Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice
It is enlightening to see how children’s confidence and ability to speak grow. Many kids that come to me are not fitting into a standard box. I can make their creativity shine.
