When I'm available: Tuesday after 2pm, Thursday and Friday any time to the end of 2019. Same days of the week and possibly more in 2020.

Where I'm available: I can operate in every North Shore suburb, but also Auckland CBD, Parnel, Ponsonby, Point Chevalier, Grey Lyn, Hobsonville etc.

My arts or creative practice (including details about my specific focus within that art form/practice and my strengths)

As a music performer on keyboard instruments I have taken part in numerous live performances as a member of various chamber ensembles, Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, National Opera and Ballet Orchestra and many popular music bands. Besides many hours of studio work as a music producer and studio musician, my creative experience ranges from composing and producing popular genres songs, music for documentaries, radio and TV commercials, to music for theatre plays, ballet, and music and sound design for computer games.

A special part of my creative work is dedicated to experimental electronic music. My acousmatic compositions have been presented in Japan, Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Macedonia.

Describe the experience you have had working with children or young people, teaching or facilitating creative processes

As a versatile individual and a proactive team player I have had the opportunity to hold a number of professional roles including secondary school Music teacher, Faculty Lecturer (Music Technology, Electronic Music, Music Production), Education Supervisor to international undergraduate internship students, Lecturer of Erasmus+ (EU exchange student programme) students, and a private music instructor.

I have also worked as a Piano teacher at music schools and mentored school bands at two schools in Auckland. For one school semester I have had an opportunity to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland and I am currently working as a Sonic Arts and Applied Production Lecturer and a DJ Electronic Music Production tutor in Auckland.

Besides one-on-one teaching, my classroom teaching skills can be described as an active work with a class from 5 to 38 students aged 10-24. Logic Pro X, Ableton Live and Cubase are Digital Audio Workstations that I am experienced to work with and employed in my classes.

Why I want to be part of the Creatives in Schools programme and how my involvement will link to my creative practice

I strive to expand student’s interests by incorporating a wide range of activities, manipulative and cooperative learning projects in which way I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts, foster a fun learning environment, and help them to develop into well-rounded individuals. In addition, teaching young people to creatively use music technology tools in the process of learning music, music theory and releasing music ideas, is one of my personal goals.

I am advocating personalised hands-on work learning methods, as well as collaborative teaching and learning environment. My PhD in Music research explores recognision and encompassing informal teaching and learning techniques in the formal educational system, and democratisation of the learning processes.
